Senior Associate

Luke Sperry

Luke Sperry joined Astris in October 2021 as an associate in the firm’s Mexico City office. Prior to joining Astris, Luke spent three years at DC Advisory’s infrastructure platform in London. During this time, Luke worked on a range of M&A and debt transactions in the infrastructure and energy space across the European market, including transactions in the rolling stock, utilities, social infrastructure, district heating, power, and midstream sectors. Luke began his career at Balfour Beatty Investments, working with their portfolio of PPP assets in the United Kingdom. 

Luke holds an M.A. in Russian and Portuguese from Oxford University. He is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, and German.

Juliana Baron

Juliana joined Astris in August 2021 as an Associate in the Bogotá office.

Prior to Astris, Juliana worked for more than 4 years in Corficolombiana where she structured bonds and stock issuances in the energy and finance sector, as well as project finance transactions in toll roads and mass transportation. During her work in Corficolombiana, she also participated in the structuring of private initiatives in ports and mass transportation.

She is a graduate (BS in Business Administration) of Universidad del Rosario, Colombia.

Michaël Bismuth

Michaël joined the Paris office of Astris in April 2021 as Senior Analyst. Prior to joining Astris, Michaël spent five years at Crédit Agricole CIB. He worked for one year in the Rail Structured Finance team in Paris providing advisory services and arranging non-recourse financings in Europe. He then joined for almost two years the New York based Energy and Infrastructure Advisory team providing Equity and Debt advisory services to Sponsors for their investments in the U.S. and Latin America.

Michaël graduated from Paris Dauphine with a Master in Finance. Michaël is fluent in English, French and Russian.

Jean-Yves Morille

Jean joined the Paris office of Astris in July 2020 as Senior Analyst. Since joining, he has been involved in a toll-road bid advisory mandate, the financing of a greenfield solar portfolio and the refinancing of a renewable portfolio in France. Prior to that, Jean worked for 18 months at BNP Paribas in New York, providing advisory services and arranging non-recourse debt financing for energy and infrastructure projects across Latin America. He also worked for 6 months in the project finance team of Voltalia in Paris, securing financing for solar, wind and hydro assets.

Jean graduated as an engineer from Ecole Centrale de Lyon and holds a M. Sc. in Sustainable Energy from Imperial College London. Jean is fluent in English and French.

Santiago Martinez

Santiago Martinez joined the Bogota office in June 2018. Prior to joining Astris, Santiago spent one year working at StratCo Consultores Asociados, a boutique consulting firm in Colombia as a Business Analyst, where he focused primarily in shaping the strategy for large financial institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Additionally Santiago was part of Banca de Inversión Bancolombia in the Infrastructure and Real Estate team where he had the opportunity to support financing and M&A process in the 4G road infrastructure program.

Santiago holds a degree in Finance and International Relations with an emphasis in Corporate Finance from Universidad Externado de Colombia. He is fluent in Spanish and English.

Gonzalo Pradillo

Gonzalo joined Astris in February 2021. Prior to that, he worked as an M&A analyst in Banco Santander in Frankfurt, active in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.

At Banco Santander, he worked on several advisory mandates ranging from infrastructure and renewable energy tenders to bid processes and structuring of non-recourse debt financing.

Gonzalo started his career with General Electric where he worked as project manager of electrical substations.

Gonzalo graduated from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid with a MSc in Industrial Engineering. He is fluent in Spanish and English and conversational in German.

Aaron Calvo

Aarón joined the Madrid office of Astris Finance in October 2022. Prior to that he worked in the Project Finance division of PwC, active in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors across Europe and LatAm.

Aarón started his career in the renewable energy industry at Enerfín, the renewable subsidiary of Elecnor Group, as a financial analyst, primarily involved in wind energy transactions.

Aarón holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Universidad de Vigo and a master’s in Corporate Finance and Investment Banking from IEB. He is fluent in Spanish and English and conversational in Portuguese and French.

 

Stanislas Buil

Stanislas joined Astris Finance in Mexico in September 2021. Prior to joining Astris, Stanislas spent a year and a half working for IVO Capital in Mexico, where he participated in the financing of Latin American projects and companies in the infrastructure and energy sectors via high yield bonds. Stanislas also interned at STOA Infra & Energy, where he worked on several PPP projects in Africa and Latin America, and at ECP, one of the leading private equity funds focused on Africa.  

Stanislas holds a Master in Management with a Major in Corporate Finance from ESSEC Business School. He is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
